Allied Group Shortlisted : Logistics & Supply Chain Company of the Year

Allied Group Shortlisted !

Allied Group is proud to announce that we have been shortlisted for Logistics & Supply Chain Company of the Year at the 2026 Export Industry Awards.

This is an important milestone for our business and a tremendous recognition of the people, services and partnerships behind our continued growth. It reflects the work of our team across freight forwarding, customs clearance, international trade compliance and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism support.

Organised by the Irish Exporters Association (IEA), the Export Industry Awards celebrate companies making an outstanding contribution to Ireland’s export economy. Now in their 24th year, the awards recognise leadership, innovation and excellence across industries connected to international trade.

We sincerely thank the Irish Exporters Association and the judging panel for recognising Allied Group in such a competitive and strategically important category.

What Does This Award Category Recognise?

The Logistics & Supply Chain Company of the Year category recognises businesses that help exporters move goods efficiently, reliably and compliantly through domestic and international markets.

It celebrates excellence across freight management, customs processes, supply chain coordination, regulatory compliance, customer service and innovation. These capabilities are increasingly important as exporters navigate changing regulations, cost pressures and disruption.

Being shortlisted by the Irish Exporters Association recognises Allied Group’s commitment to simplifying international trade and helping customers keep their goods moving.

Our Journey as an International Trade Partner

Allied Group was established in 2017 with the ambition of providing businesses with dependable, practical and customer-focused international trade support.

Since then, we have grown from a specialist operation into a multi-service trade partner supporting companies throughout Ireland, the UK, Europe and global markets. Our evolution from Allied Fleet Services to Allied Group reflects that transformation and brings our expanding services together under one clear identity.

Today, we operate across three connected areas:

  • International freight forwarding
  • Customs clearance and trade compliance
  • CBAM training and managed compliance

Bringing these services together allows customers to work with one experienced partner across multiple stages of their supply chain, reducing unnecessary complexity and improving communication.

Freight Forwarding and Customs Expertise

Allied Group provides dependable freight-forwarding solutions across Ireland, the UK, Europe and international markets. From full loads and groupage to air, sea and time-critical freight, our team coordinates each movement with care.

Our customs-clearance specialists support businesses with import and export declarations, commodity classifications, transit movements and changing post-Brexit requirements. Accurate preparation helps reduce delays, unexpected costs and compliance risks.

By bringing freight and customs expertise together, Allied Group gives customers one reliable point of contact across their supply chain – creating clearer communication, better visibility and smoother cross-border movements.

Supporting Businesses with CBAM Compliance

Alongside freight and customs, Allied Group has developed specialist expertise in the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism.

CBAM introduces new reporting and financial obligations for businesses importing certain carbon-intensive goods into the European Union. Its impact extends across procurement, finance, customs and supply chain teams.

Recognising that many businesses were uncertain about how the regulations would affect them, Allied Group invested early in specialist training and compliance capabilities. Four members of our team are now IACBAM-accredited trainers.

IACBAM Training

We deliver accredited training sessions, webinars and tailored programmes designed to turn complex legislation into clear and practical guidance. We also provide managed CBAM compliance services for organisations that lack the internal resources or specialist expertise to manage their obligations independently.

Although CBAM is an important area of our work, it is part of a much wider service. Its requirements are closely connected to customs data, commodity classifications, supplier information and the movement of goods.

By combining CBAM knowledge with established freight and customs expertise, we can help businesses consider their full international trade journey rather than treating every operational or regulatory requirement separately.

Delivering a Connected Customer Experience

Our integrated approach is one of Allied Group’s key strengths.

When freight, customs and compliance services are managed separately, information can become fragmented. A freight provider may not have the customs information required for a shipment, while a customs intermediary may have limited visibility of transport schedules or delivery deadlines.

A customer working with Allied Group can discuss how goods will be transported, what customs procedures will apply and whether additional compliance obligations need to be considered. This reduces duplication and creates greater continuity throughout the supply chain.

Our objective is to build long-term partnerships rather than simply process individual transactions. By developing a deeper understanding of each customer’s operations, we can provide solutions that support their wider commercial goals.
